Ibi is a Cambridge Certified English as a Second Language (ESOL) teacher with over a decade of experience in education. Her journey in teaching has been driven by a deep desire to help individuals settle successfully into environments where English is the primary language of communication. Ibi’s career began in Nigeria, where she developed a profound understanding of the challenges faced by non-native English speakers. Her dedication to education later took her to Scotland, where she not only continued her work as an ESOL teacher but also became a member of the General Teaching Council for Scotland, contributing significantly to the educational landscape.
For Ibi, teaching English goes beyond imparting language skills; it’s about opening doors to new opportunities and empowering people to build fulfilling lives and careers. She believes that mastering English is a powerful tool that enables individuals to access better job prospects, integrate into their communities, and achieve personal success.
My programmes focus on practical language use, ensuring that you gain the confidence and fluency needed to communicate effectively in everyday situations, academic settings, and professional environments.
In addition to her teaching career, Ibi is the founder and director of Frannberry School and Frannberry Foundation Years, institutions dedicated to providing high-quality education to students from diverse backgrounds. Her commitment to education extends beyond the classroom; as a philanthropist, Ibi is passionate about empowering women academically. She firmly believes that education is the key to unlocking potential and is dedicated to supporting women in overcoming barriers and achieving their academic and professional goals.
Through her work, both as an educator and a philanthropist, Ibi is committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of her students and the wider community. She is dedicated to helping individuals not only learn English but also use it as a tool for personal and professional growth.
